The insecticidal and antibacterial activity of new synthesized carbamate derivatives(5,7-dichloro-8-hydroxyquinolinyl -N-methyicarbamate( 1 ). 5,7-dichloro-8-h__ydroxyquinolinyl-N-ethylcarbamate(lI)) was examined using 0.2 wlv% acetone solutions and 50jg/mf-l000ug/ml N,N´-(hmethylformamide-H20(2;3) solutions of each compounds, respectively.
1) Two carbamates exerted insecticidal effects on A"ilaparvate lugens STAL. Sogata furcifera HORVATH, Delphacodes Striatella I AUEW. Whereas no significant effects were observed on the Inozuma dorasalis MOISCHIULSKY and P7ephatefx apicalis Cincticeps UHLER
2) There compounds exhibited growth-inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus. Salmonella paratyphi A, Shigella dysenteriae. Escherichia coli NL 1401, at the concentration range of 100-500p_/me in general.
